Herman Cain during a speech:
That's from the Declaration, of course. So he made a little boo-boo. The point was good, though.
Then again our current occupant has had his own troubles...as pointed out by the Gateway Pundit last year.
Then there was this..
And he's supposed to be the constitutional law professor.
But there's a larger point. Think Progress, the source of the Cain video, is all over him for the gaffe in a way suggesting he might be pretty stupid. But based on what we've witnessed these last three years against anyone who has criticized Obama, isn't such criticism of Cain also racist by default?

Herman will need to watch what he says. As he gains steam in the polls, the leftist hacks will be putting everything he says and does under the microscope.
It was a gaffe, but all politicians have been guilty of them.
I like Cain, but I am concerned that he has no experience in elected office. My fear is he has more emotion that we may need. Emotion can hurt a candidate, if he's not careful.
Still, even with the gaffe, you cannot find error in the statement itself. And I think it's minor compared to the 57 states gaffe and some of the other Obama stuff.
I am afraid that right now, Cain is all we really have....unless someone else with some character steps up. I will take him over the others right now.
And we thought Joe Biden was the gaff machine.
Cain needs to get some good foreign policy people working for him and advising and educating him. I think that may be his downfall. I like him and will look over this one, but if he keeps backpeddling on some things, it will hurt him.

Agree with both of you guys. Cain is not ready for prime time yet. We'll see how fast he adapts--I get the feeling he could destroy some of those Think Progress and Media Matters types if he played it right.
