Side Tracks

Something a bit more modern..

And someone who undoubtedly influenced them...

I love Coldplay. They just played here last week. But it was a large outdoor venue where I might have been caught in a mosh pit and I am too old for that stuff.

I think you are spot on, they do sound a lot like U2, one of their influences.

I saw U2 in 2000. I think it was the Elevation tour, indoors at Conseco Fieldhouse. It was loud, but very good.

I heard a different U2 song in my head each day for the next week.

Great choices, sir. (But as you know, Lt. Col Fuddy Duddy will be keeping track if this kind of degeneration.)

Thank you sir. As to FD, don't worry, there are only a limited number of Lawrence Welk cuts available on You Tube.. ;-)

I don’t want either of you to think that I don’t know what’s going on here … and I do have a long memory. But I am disappointed to find that the bastard has succeeded in driving his wedge here; a very sad day, to be sure.

Hey now, Lawrence Welk was a master. It took a lot of work to get those bubbles just right.
