Bad Day for Gadahn, Good Day for Freedom

Ding dong the fat treasonous bastard is caught:
The American-born spokesman for al-Qaida has been arrested by Pakistani intelligence officers in the southern city of Karachi, two officers and a government official said Sunday, the same day Adam Gadahn appeared in a video urging U.S. Muslims to attack their own country.
Way to take the sails out of his 'you have the duty to honor the hero Hasan and kill your fellow soldiers' video that hit the streets earlier today. Yes, the timing was interesting, and probably not from his end.

Cap'n Ed is asking where Gadahn should be tried. In a perfect world? The same venue they try KSM and friends, meaning enemy combatant status. This guy was hanging with "the Shiekh" during 9/11 and has committed unambiguous treason, and therefore simply must die. No ifs, ands, or buts. Besides, for the nutbars who claim he's really an agent for the Mossad a public hanging oughta put that one to rest.

Before that occurs we need to get as much out of his puddy brain as possible without resorting to torture, assuming he knows anything (he'd probably crack like a saltine at just the sight of a CIA interrogator).

But since this isn't a perfect world, and since he's a US citizen and was indicted in California, who knows. If they toss him to the land of fruits and nuts for a jury trial anything could happen.

One thing's sure--AQ hasn't lost much in the way of a spokesman. He wasn't charismatic and there's no evidence he was having much of an affect on American Muslims. Their loss was mainly his knowledge of the American mindset and culture, something he's had plenty of time to pass along.

The obvious question is whether al-Baradar fingered him seeing as both were caught in Karachi. But it's more than just Baradar--with Pakistan suddenly and mysteriously helping us fight the Global Contingency Operation (instead of hiding the enemy) there are probably bigger fish to come depending on what Obama has promised them.

Nevertheless it's a day to celebrate. We scored another high value capture and the Iraqis went to the polls in significant numbers and voted despite terror attacks and threats from al Duri and Younis's Baathist-AQ thug brigade. That amounts to a double "in their face". It's a score for Obama, a score for Bush, and more importantly, a score for the U S A.

Latest word, it may not be Gadahn. But you know the Left would demand he be tried in the US, since he is a citizen.

Latest word the guy they caught is another Adam from Pennsylvania.

Why have we not heard about an American from Pennsylvania who is a top leader in the Taliban? Have you ever heard of such a person, Debbie?
