From JP:The September 6 raid over Syria was carried out by the US Air Force, the Al-Jazeera Web site reported Friday. The Web site quoted Israeli and Arab sources as saying that two strategic US jets armed with tactical nuclear weapons carried out an attack on a nuclear site under construction."They" being the left-wing, who've been mostly silent about the prospect of Syria having a budding nuclear program with help from Kim Jong. With the possibility of the US using tactical nukes the story might suddenly become quite popular in areas where it wasn't before.
Searching the Aljazeera web site produces nothing, though. The usual suspects are speculatin' up a storm with the bottom line being that Bush would not take the risk, however there does seem to be an unusual cone of silence on this whole affair. That said, it's just like the Jihadi underground to attempt to flip the story in their favor by eliciting anti-American fervor, since the anti-Israel fervor never materialized.
