But health care should be fine

This is beyond priceless. The same body whose members pontificate about the need to turn health care over to the government are turning their own government-run food service over to the private sector due to mismanagement and poor quality. The WaPo's article contains this 'morsel':
In a masterful bit of understatement, Feinstein blamed "noticeably subpar" food and service. Foot traffic bears that out. Come lunchtime, many Senate staffers trudge across the Capitol and down into the basement cafeteria on the House side. On Wednesdays, the lines can be 30 or 40 people long.
Wonder if Senator Obama was one of those standing in the 30-40 deep line to eat in the contractor-run House cafeteria? Or maybe it's racist to imply such a thing. Anyway, gotta love the sunshine on this--a voice vote conducted last week while everyone was focused on the Dem coronation ceremonies.
