Sunday afternoon mishmosh

Afraid to fly? Take solace in this:

Every day, 365 days a year thousands of flights land and take off safely. After 9/11 we've only suffered a handful of fatal accidents. Your odds of arriving are pretty good. Now, on time? That's another story.

Harold Ford's latest commercial
. Can't find it, but it talks about Corker's refusal to release his tax records, which Ford has been hammering on from day one. At the very end, when talking of Corker, it mentions sending him to DC and says, "he'd fit right in there". Do they not realize what they are saying?

As to Iraq, some might still wonder what a democrat victory would mean. I think this leaves very few doubts.

Remember the illegal immigration issue? While the MSM has done a fine job of keeping the focus on some guy named Haggard's sexual misadventures, Kerry's non-apology apology and wall to wall stories about how Bush lost Iraq, this story seemed to go pretty much unnoticed:
"We are already a step ahead, having been born in Mexico. Imagine being born in the United States, oof!" Fox said Tuesday with a chuckle, according to the Associated Press, after a remark that Mexicans should be thankful for their heritage.
The story went on to say that many Mexicans think very little of the US because we are, "full of broken families, rampant drug use and unchecked materialism that is run by a government that doesn't hesitate to go to war or meddle in the affairs of others, a standing underscored by events in Iraq". You can see why the democrats might covet them as voters.
