Acting Stupidly Again

Obama, reacting to one group of protesters today...

And to another group in 2009...

Guess those people weren't 'neighbors and friends'.

But Obama is just one man in the coming mother of all ideological battles. The left will demonize, chastise, and break every rule Obama set down in Tucson on their road to solving the problem through higher taxes and a more perfect Marxist union. Obama will float above the fray as usual but with a much lower orbit--this is his bread and butter issue and he might occasionally take a few stands to triangulate for 2012.

The right will bumble and stumble and hack their way along, largely oblivious to the cabal of trickery poking at them from the left and media (pardon the redundancy) in an effort to return America to the financial policies of the founding crackers. And Ron Paul will be on the sidelines bobbing like a bobble head and saying he told us so.

Allah help us all.

Progressives love mob rule, when they are the mob.

Did you the see the Nazi placards? Bet they won't show up on NBC Nightly News.

The National Barack Channel? To think they would show something that would present a leftist principle in a bad light (in any way) is pure fantination (a cross between fantasy and a hallucination).

What would we think if there were no blogosphere and no FOX News?

I remember in the early stages of Iraq, watching NBC News a lot. I thought we were losing the war in the first two weeks. One day, I started watching FOX and saw an entirely different perspective. Remember, that was the point when the Iraqi fighters were laying down their weapons and running. Peter Arnett and the other MSM jerks were calling it a quagmire way back then.

I have never trusted NBC since.

Unfortunately you are correct about both the Left and the Right. The Republicans don't seem to be taking advantage of this. However, they are going to pass a bill to defund Obama's health care and the czars. But we know it won't get through the Senate, but I suppose it's the thought that counts.

I discovered Fox around 1999 due to being so sick of CNN and the networks over Clinton. It's hard to go back, especially after the occasional flips back to network. The Tucson thing should have been their demise.

Debbie, my guess is the repubs are just posturing right now. They know nothing will actually get passed, and anything that does will be through compromise, which the left will use against them next year. They are in bad place on the coming govt showdown as well--force a shutdown and they'll pull a Newt card; compromise and the Dems will use it against them (along with outrage from their base). The media is just waiting for an opening. Boehner has his work cut out.

I thought their handling of the Tea Party would have been their demise. Before that, I would have thought their dismal ratings w/ FOX beating the hell out of them would have been their demise. But they are like that one fly in the summer that you can't get rid of.
