Viva Mexico?

That phrase was evidently uttered by convicted murderer Humberto Leal before Texas fed him his last cocktail upon the collapse of last minute relief from Obama and the SCOTUS.

Not to celebrate some guy's encounter with ole sparky, but yelling viva Mehico at the moments before death seems rather illuminating. Here was a kid brought to the United States by illegal alien parents when he was 2--the same kind of guy the liberals and some triangulating conservatives would award with college scholarships and backdoor citizenship had he only not killed a 16 year old girl, and a group in which Obama has painted as patriotic writ large and pretty much American by default.

So what happens when one of them is faced with the rule of law for a crime committed here? Obama steps in to say he should have been treated as a Mexican national.

In other words, just words. Whatever it takes to pander to the nearest voter.

Pandering to voters is all politicians seem to know how to do, and Dems do this with special interests and minorities better than the GOP. It's one thing to sell out to corporate America the entity that creates wealth and jobs. It's another to sell it out to hypocrisy.

The Dems have no other ability to attract working people aside from thug unions (and I suspect they are beginning to wonder why Obama hasn't delivered the goods). So the only other option for them at this time is to create a larger "disenfranchised" underclass (legal citizens or not) and keep them there, so they can lie their asses off by telling them they are the only ones sticking up for their interests.

All of this talk of secession by La Raza is coming about because Dems are supportive of having a stronger Hispanic Studies curriculum in school in lower AZ, TX, NM, and practically the entire state of CA.

So with all of this going on, why should we be surprised that Dems like Obama want to talk out of both sides of their mouths? Why are we surprised that the man should have been a citizen had he not been caught and convicted of this heinous crime, but a Mexican national once they were ready to put him to death?

I am not a fan of the death penalty, for reasons I know I have stated here and on my blog before. But I do salute Rick Perry for refusing to allow Obama to bully the state of Texas from enforcing its laws. Had he caved on this, it would have empowered Obama and the Feds to assert even more federalism into the states' business. As it is now, the states' rights are almost non-existent.

I'm very narrow on the death penalty. It should be used very sparingly and these latest two media cases, Anthony and this Leal guy, didn't deserve it IMHO. That aside he did the crime and was convicted under TX law. He was willing to live openly as an illegal, thumbing our laws every day, then when he got in trouble he went whimpering about his consulate rights.

And the government has allowed this fubar to take place. Illegals are already draining the budget of CA and straining hospitals, and all our illustrious leaders can think to do is pander their asses off.

I'm so glad they followed through on this sentence, in spite of Obama. Screw Mexico.
