Big-R time...

Today is election today in Tennessee. There are many primaries to be decided. Personally, it's sometimes hard to drag my carcass down and get er done, but that's where I'm heading after this post is finished. If you're a local, you can find plenty of information on the candidates here, here and here.

Speaking of voting, the Commercial Appeal newspaper had an eye-popping article yesterday about the not-so-recently deceased who remain on the voting rolls. Oversight? Laziness? Maybe, but we should demand that the system be properly managed. At least one man has made his feelings about this public. After all, some of our tax money goes to support proper management of the voting process.

Besides, with thousands of dead voters on the rolls, including one gentleman in Memphis still on the rolls who passed away in 1954, it becomes too way easy for those who wish to fraud the system to do so. That should be a concern to all sides.

GOT ER DONE..
Bully for me, huh. No bragging here--been way too remiss on primary voting in the past.

Best line heard while waiting for poll worker to verify voter rolls, "go vote today, you may run into one of your long dead relatives.."
