May day blow back

Tennessee U.S. Representative Marsha Blackburn and her Georgia counterpart Jack Kingston are making news for pointing out the elephant in the middle of the room regards the illegal immigration debate. In a letter to the ICE folks, the two made the following statement:
"the multiple reports in the news media today regarding companies which have been forced to halt operations because large numbers of their employees appear to be in the United States illegally and are participating in the protest rallies."

"ICE has an obligation to use this public information to enforce immigration laws," they wrote. "We respectfully request that you look into this matter and report back to us on your findings."
It's utterly ridiculous that such a letter would need to be written in the first place. It's akin to writing a letter to the fire chief asking him to please respond to fire calls.

But blow back can take different forms. As the picture above (and associated story) illustrates, it sometimes seems the loonbat left will protest ANYTHING the right takes a stand against, including illegal invasions by foreigners. Meanwhile they bloviate nonstop about Bush not securing Iraq's borders, while simultaneously advocating cross border incursions of tank and infantry divisions into Pakistan (violating their soveriegnty) in pursuit of bin Laden. Of course, wonder how many aspiring little liberals failed this quiz?
