What happened to Hamadi?

Heard lots of good insight into the Lebanon affair on talk radio today, starting with Mona Charen on Bill Bennett's morning show (she's a very clear-minded thinker) ending with a gentleman on Hannity's show (missed his name) who was one of the several hostages held by Hizballah in the mid 80s.

He talked about the barbaric nature of his captors and about other hostages, one of them being Terry Anderson, probably the most recognized, who was held nearly seven years. This gentleman is clearly not ready to forgive and forget.

That got me to thinking about this story posted here earlier this year about Navy diver Robert Stetham, killed by Hizballah militants in the TWA 847 hijacking. You might recall--he was the young sailor whose body was thrown on the tarmac at Beirut. Make no mistake, America has a history with these guys. They were al-Qaeda before al-Qaeda was al-Qaeda.

Anyway, the story made brief headlines because Germany released the Hizballah scumbag who masterminded the event and likely killed Stethem, and he subsequently disappeared into Lebanon. Stethem's family pleaded with the US government to extradite him here for trial, but we've heard next to nothing since December 2005.

I can't help but wonder if he's participating in the recent fun? Perhaps he's sipping tea with Revolutionary Guards in Tehran, or maybe Ahmadinejad himself. Or perhaps he was underneath one of Israel's airstrikes.
