Richard Clarke on Maher's show

Former counterterrorism czar Richard Clarke, a recent subject of interest again due to the Bill Clinton Fox News flameup, finally showed up on an interview show after declining a debate with other terrorism experts on Fox News Sunday last week. And hey--what better venue than Bill Maher's HBO show?

Aside from usual hillarity of Robin Williams (especially when he was describing a pretend conversation between Kissinger and the Governator) Clarke came across as a rather pompous sneering know-it-all, blurbing out boilerplate democrat talking points and not seeing anything but balls of puff from Maher. It's pretty obvious why he backed off Chris Wallace's show and a potential showdown with Michael Scheuer. Besides, Chris might have asked him about his "boogie to Baghdad" comment.
