Side Tracks

Paulette Carlson has one of the more distinctive female voices in country music. She made a big splash with the band "Highway 101" in the late 80s/early 90s, and this was one of their biggest hits..

Wow ... an amazing voice. I didn't even know about her. I didn't realize that Minnesotans were in to country music.

You see, this proves LA is lying when he tells everyone I'm too old to learn stuff.

Sure enough. There was another singer famous about the same time from up that way named Kathy Mattea.
That was back when country was taking off as an alternate top 40. Lots of adopted red necks but it never bothered me (it did bother some in Nashville, tho).

BTW, I'm sure LA was not counting learning about bouncy blond singers in his description. hehe
