This just in, sorta

The Jerusalem Post is reporting a potential bombshell, or a potential dud, not sure which:
An upcoming joint US-Israel report on the September 6 IAF strike on a Syrian facility will claim that former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein transferred weapons of mass destruction to the country, Channel 2 stated Monday.
This was the mystery facility in eastern Syria that Israeli jets attacked in a clandestine operation, which received very little press coverage at the time. My previous post here (which contains some links), if you care.

Now back to the game as Billy Packer and Jim Nance cheer on the Jayhawks. Go Tigers...

Congrats to the Jayhawks. An amazing 3-pointer with 2 seconds left, lucky dogs. Of course they should have fouled beforehand, and course the disputed Memphis 3-pointer had to come into play, but free throws simply have to be made.

Oh, as to the Saddam WMD story, check almost any message board and you'll see an amazing display of spin from the left, now arguing that even if Bush didn't lie the war is still a quagmire mistake. This will be Obama's strategy should this story prove true.

Ironically, this story came out of Israel today as well:
Israel will "destroy" Iran if Tehran decided to launch a war against the Jewish state, Israeli Infrastructure Minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer said today.
Some are asking why the Jerusalem Post would put out such a short story before the actual report comes out. Well, their article says it was a TV station with the scoop, so it might not be theirs anyway. But we can speculate all night long as to why it's being leaked, along with sabre rattling from the defense ministry. The crux of the above story is the war drill Israel is currently under, as if they sniff that something is up vis-à-vis the Imad Mughniyeh hit. All this coming as Obama gets closer and closer to attaining the nomination. Wonder if Israel put this one out, too?
