UFO or ...

Air Force flares? We've had these flare scares before only to discover the 'truth' later.

I'm going with flares. Funny how so many are willing to have faith these are extra-terrestrils without any proof, yet people scoff at the Bible as a collection of fairy tales.

I don't know that we'll ever get to the bottom of this one. If he hadn't turned himself in a couple of years ago, Scully and Muldur would still be looking for that Bigfoot guy.

Dude, like man, they were hovering. Like man, they were in a pattern. So wow, like how can you sit there and say these aren't from , like another planet, dude?

The candescence of small flares is between 500-700 candlepower, but they only last for a couple of minutes. It is hard to imagine a pilot who would dangle hand held flares from beneath his aircraft, but I suppose it is possible to find idiots in every vocation. Note the absence of "aircraft" noise, however.

Parachute flares are much brighter, but it is easy to see the parachute during descent, and the smoke produced from the burning flare is readily apparent; they almost never glide along at a constant altitude.

Since we don't know what it is, I suppose we ought to classify it as an unidentified flying object. That doesn't mean its an alien craft; only that it was unidentified.

I suspect it might have been one of those right wing conspiracies we keep hearing about.

Evidently, there is an explanation.

Well, I wonder if the UFO reporting center will be filing that one in the ole round file now?

Wonder how many of these sightings are overzealous pranksters? Crop circles come to mind. I saw one by the side of the road riding through Ark one day. Why would aliens come to Ark?

It went out to the dumpster 20 minutes ago. The dumpster goes out in the morning.
