Summarizing: Bush was more of a doofus than we knew. I saved the economy single handedly (TARP 1 doesn't count). But it won't be fully saved until people stop writing me letters demanding massive socialism, thanks to Bush.

Geithner:



Summarizing: Bush. I was there, but had nothing to do with Bush. Need to make tough choices, Bush, middle class household spending cuts to pay for our necessary tax hikes to save America, Bush.

Gibbs was peppered today about Geithner and Summers opening a 'door' to middle class tax cuts, and seemed to refute it. But listening closely to his persistent answer, he said the president stands by his "commitment" to not raise taxes on the middle class. That sounds like another door. One used by weasels.
