The movie contract is now set even though the jury is still out. Bets are on as to who'll play the leading characters. According to the Fire dogs, Matthew Cooper has already said he wants Jack Black to play him. Sorry, I don't see it.
Here are my early suggestions. Feel free to disagree if you care:
Joe Wilson - Don Johnson (maybe it's those pink ties)
Valerie Plame - not Sharon Stone and not Naomi Watts. Maybe Faith Hill. Or to appeal more to the target audience, Jane Fonda.
Scooter Libby - Harrison Ford.. just to tick off the target audience
Karl Rove - the guy from Bush's Baked Beans commercials
Matthew Cooper - Nathan Lane
Richard Armitage - Jesse Ventura
Colin Powell - Morgan Freeman
Patrick Fitzgerald - Brit Hume.. see above
Judith Miller - Diane Keaton
Tim Russert - The Heat Miser. Remember him? Same round face. Alright, that's mean.
Bob Woodward - Robert Redford, again. Or just Hollywood Bob himself.
Don't forget bit parts for Tom Maguire and Marcy Wheeler, with Jane Hamsher directing.
Note to studio--based on the current interest level in this story you may want to consider including some gratuitous sex and violence, or maybe find a way to work in Anna Nichole Smith.
