Priceless

We've been having our fun with the story about the Mexican government handing out Matricula Consular cards in Memphis directly on the heels of US Representative Marsha Blackburn's bill to limit their use in getting credit.

Well, it gets better. According to our afternoon drive time talk radio jock Mike Fleming the Matricula cards ARE NOT always accepted by Mexican banks! It's right there on YouTube.

While awaiting Ms. Blackburn's response feel free to peruse the notes from this hearing back in 2003, which includes a mention of the cards not being accepted by Mexican banks and detailing a brief history of how they've been used by foreign governments in the past. I'm still waiting for my reply back from Regions Bank as to whether they accept them as valid ID or not.
