Tax-exempt status

Sticking with the religious theme for a bit, why is it OK for Hillary, Obama, Kerry, et al, to campaign in churches? Are any of these churches being investigated by the IRS with obligatory threats of having their tax-exempt status revoked? As the accompanying photo shows, Kerry allowed campaign placards inside the church while he was campa, er, speaking.

It's pretty certain that if one of the big Republicans came to Memphis and spoke at Bellevue Baptist there would be intense scrutiny and possibly threats of revoking their status. It happens every time they issue voting guides.

By the way, Mrs. Clinton sounded rather ridiculous pandering to that group, no better evidence that she's seen the Oval Office and Presidential Seal enough for one lifetime.
