The Fog

Yeah, I just had a post called "the Bow". Think of it as a series. This is going around the net, an example of Obama's great oratorical skills. Now there's video. Only Obama could take a simple question and turn it into rambling amorphous vapor. It explains a lot about why he's president--he speaks well, even if nobody knows what the hell he just said.

It reminds me of this scene from "48 Hours" when Nolte tells Murphy he's just a con with a 500 dollar suit and Murphy shoots back, "but I look good."

One talking head this morning said, “Europe is swooning over President Obama.” Oh, good. And it was no mere coincidence that Medevlev had a smirk on his face. He has taken the measure of Obama, and he likes what he sees.

It should not be too long, I think, before Obama’s lack of spine encourages standing ovations from Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran.

The frogs seemed very pleased when Obama emasculated the United States today; finally someone who will stand aside and allow Sarkozy to establish the New World Order ... with France on central stage, of course.

And thank goodness the presidents of S. Korea and the USA pledged a “stern” warning to N. Korea should the latter finally launch their ICBM; but silly me, the USA's statement did not include the word "stern," and even if it did, N. Korea is choking with laughter.

Meanwhile, as everyone claps their hands and giggles in anticipation of shoving it up America's ass, few of those morons realize that N. Korea is testing that rocket as part of a marketing package directed at Iran who will hopefully purchase the Korean delivery platform.

This sad fact, unfortunately, should lead us to imagine what Israel will do when they perceive Iran's threat of nuclear annihilation is real. Israel is not going to do the Patomac two-step ... but I doubt if anyone in the current administration get's it.

This fog is much scarier than John Carpenter's version. This fog has enshrouded the entire American left.

Nice analysis. Netanyahoo doesn't like to fool around but I'm not sure even he has the balls to pull the trigger on Iran w/o the US of A's help, especially with Iraq in the way.

Obama is putting on a show for the ages and fulfilling every leftist's fantasy by suckling the Euro teat, even covertly bashing Bush in the process. Part and parcel of Obama's war on capitalism.

As you point out, the Russians are not impressed. Neither are the Taliban. But despite Obama's misplaced faculties he's at heart a Chicago politician. I don't believe he wants to lose Afghan after campaigning so hard on it. So this scmooze fest is an effort to gain political capital by hypnotizing the Euro electorate so he can later demand more resources from their leaders for the NATO effort in Afghan. But maybe these folks have taken his measure as well.

Or not... Although admittedly, Obama hasn't threatened them with the pitchforkers yet.
