Leave em at the racetrack

The GOP has come out with a message for the cut'n'run wing of the Democrat Party. It's all over the web, even here.

My impression of this is luke-warm. Although I think certain Dems deserve a verbal butt kicking for their recent "no plan" retreat hyperbole, and Howard Dean's "we can't win in Iraq" blubberance should have cost him his job, there's still no need to sink to their level. They do a fine job of filling their hats with poop by themselves. Responding in kind only means they've struck a nerve.

Besides, not sure these ads will do anything but placate the GOP choir. Which side do you think the MSM will come down on? Backlash potential is there, since we'll see Reid, Murtha and Kerry on the Sunday shows feigning indignation and insinuating the repubs are a bunch of chickenhawks. Back to square one.

My alternative? A montage of the quotes with sinister background music, then an announcer asking where we can find "the democrat plan", and asking why cut'n'run would work now since it's never worked before. But white flags? Leave em at the racetrack.

I much prefer this type of flag display..

UPDATE 12/10

The chickenhawk innuendo begins. Expect more on the Sunday shows.
