Shhhh...Pentagon exceeds recruiting goal

The DoD exceeded their goals in both the Army and the Marines for November.

I've yet to see any spin on this story, so just for fun let's speculate on how the spin might look (if the story is even acknowledged). So here goes:

>The recruiters are brainwashing the poor students on college campuses, and they were simply more successful last month. The sneaks probably offered free turkeys.

>They sent female recruiters to college toga parties to coerce drunken coeds.

>They are simply grabbing people off the streets in the dark of night.

>They're promising 100 dollar laptops in the PX.

>They're telling recruits we're serisouly considering retreating to the horizon.

In all seriousness, perhaps this proves the hype about missing goals a few months ago was baseless. These numbers probably tend to fluctuate naturally just like global temperatures. I choose to believe these numbers show that things aren't nearly as bad as folks would like us to believe.

Each and every one of them deserve our utmost gratitude and respect for signing up during a war. Words can hardly express, ladies and gentlemen.
