I have seen The Who twice, once in Germany in 78 and once in the 90s when they were performing the Quadrophenia album. You would have to look long and hard to find a rock band that matched their intensity on stage. That Nuremburg conert was held at Zepplinfeld, where Hitler held mass rallies. Needless to say, he probably rolled over in his grave.

I wasn't fortunate enough to see them live, but I did see the Tommy movie.
