"It's not our mess, and we're not going to clean it up."

That headline quote was taken from an anonymous FBI leaker regarding the NSA warrantless eavesdropping story. Nice to see the 9/11 Commission's recommedations to eradicate intelligence agency stovepiping are really being taken to heart.

Speaking of anonymous sources, the journalistic future of the New York Times is riding entirely on this NSA story. Officials there believe hearings triggered by the story could revive the paper of record's reputation after it was dragged through the mud by Judith Miller and Jayson Blair.

Should the story reach impeachment level it might settle an old score with the rival Washington Post, who actually became the unofficial 'paper of record' after Watergate. Neither Judith Miller nor Bob Woodward could be found for comment.

However, we have no reason to question the veracity of the report. The source, seen below, wishes to remain anonymous due to the senstive nature of the information. He was a long time affiliate of the company in its bundling and residential delivery division. His recent dismissal for 'drawing a mustache on a picture of Hillary Clinton before delivering Senator Schumer's copy of the Sunday Times' could not be independently verified by other delivery drivers.
